Derryn is a small local Byron bay farmer/beekeeper and fruit and vegetable grocer. He has a passion of sharing his beekeeping craftsmanship with his young son. New to branding and marketing he was very open to exploring concepts and ideas.

With so many small honey vendors starting out we wanted his to have a professional look that would also be the perfect gift or Byron Bay souvenir to take home from your holiday. So in our research/concepts we felt the Byron Bay needed to be promenade, as well as some Australiana icons. So we developed 2 brands/ideas for him

1 - The black and white illustrative Australian wildflower to be sophisticated, bold and different to what was in the market place.
2 – Vibrant Iconic Australian Bird artwork. A perfect partnership as Derryns last name is Bird. This bright and modern series is eye-catching. The idea was to feature local artists and birds as the business builds

WHAT WE CREATED

The packaging design and labels was a juggle as we tried to be able to use the same size label on several different products as well as 3 different container types. This allows for all SKUs to be printed on the same run, making it affordable and flexible. Printed with the awesome Shane and Ultra Labels team. We also designed the market stands, POS banners and a “Fill Your Own” station to allow for locals to bring their own bottles and jars. This was a great environmentally friendly concept to keep waste to a minimum.
